Mayo Clinic conducted a study on more than 1,800 women to understand the effects of caffeine on postmenopause women. The study was conducted between 2005 and 2011 to study the connection between caffeine and menopause symptoms. 

According to the study, women who consumed caffeine regularly reported experiencing aggravated vasomotor symptoms than women who did not intake caffeine.  

The Mayo Clinic study also showed that caffeine has different effects on women going through menopausal transition or perimenopause and postmenopausal women. While the intake caffeine, the stimulant, may improve mood, memory and concentration in women going through perimenopause, the stimulant did not have a similar effect on women in post-menopause. 

How Much of Caffeine Is Too Much?

According to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), caffeine can be a part of a healthy diet if consumed in a limit. However, too much caffeine consumption can put your health at risk.
